Reub! Pavement .:. Slanted & Enchanted: Luxe & Reduxe Disc 2 I realized today how much of a difference the remastered Watery, Domestic and Watery Sessions make. Four tracks from a John Peel Session followed by a live show from Brixton 1992. I still love this band. Matthew Shipp .:. eQUILIBRIUM Khan Jamal. Blur .:. Think Tank I bought this on a recommendation and have not been disappointed. Stephen Thomas Erlewine shits on this album on allmusic.com, but I am really enjoying it. Maybe I should take his advice and check out some of the "good" Blur albums! Quote

AfricaBrass Posted May 19, 2003 Report Posted May 19, 2003 I've been very sick and stuck in bed over the weekend so I've been listening to music on my headphones. My pick this weekend is the Mercury Rhythm and Blues 1945-55 box that I got from BMG. It was around $30 (after shipping) and it is 8 cds. I highly recommend it. I especially love the sides with Jimmy Witherspoon with Jay McShann. :rsmile: Quote

Joe G Posted May 21, 2003 Report Posted May 21, 2003 Wayne Shorter, Footprints Live. This has been lying around since I got it a few months back, and just tonight I read an article in a Jazztimes from a year ago about this group, which intrigued me enough to put it on. Wow! Incredible stuff. This will be getting heavy rotation for a few weeks, along with: Pat Martino, Live at Yoshi's another one that I've finally gotten around to listening to. Quote
