The Doors: The Complete Studio Recordings

I must admit, I'm on a huge Door listening streak right now. They still sound more creative than 99% of rock right now.

Dave Brubeck/Paul Desmond - The Duets 1975

Charles Mingus - Black Saint and the Sinner Lady

Elvin Jones - The Ultimate Elvin Jones

Teddy Charles - A Word From Bird

Right now: Gerry Mulligan/Thelonious Monk - Mulligan Meets Monk

Posted

Norman Howard "Signals"

Ernie Henry "Presenting"

Blue Mitchell "Big 6"

Thelonious Monk "Monk's Music"

A careful listening to the Monk record sent me on a Wilbur Ware hunt, hence the Mitchell and Henry dates. I suggest listening to Monk's Music with headphones while concentrating on the bass. Wilbur is a wizard on this.
