AfricaBrass Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 Happy Birthday, Joe! I hope you get everything you asked for. Quote
Joe G Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 How kind of you to remember! I didn't actually ask for anything, especially since I just blew big bucks on a new guitar. That will have to do for about 3 birthdays and two Christmasses I think. Yep, I'm 33 now. One third of the way through my life if all goes well. Quote
AfricaBrass Posted April 29, 2003 Author Report Posted April 29, 2003 Ah, I remember 33 like it was last year. Oh yeah, it was. In 4 months, you'll have to have a 33 1/3 birthday party. Being a music lover, it would appropriate. I hope you're still having fun with the Hofner! :rsmile: Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 Happy birthday my brotha! Let's JAM! Quote

Joe G Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 Thanks! Love the tabby; he (she) looks terrified. I have a calico that takes on that same appearance when I pick her up. Other notable birthdays today: Andre Agassi, 33 Uma Thurman, 33 Master P, 33 Jerry Seinfeld, 49 Zubin Mehta, 67 Daniel Day Lewis, 46 Michelle Pfeiffer, 45 Eve Plumb (Jan Brady) 45... and Duke Ellington! Joe G Posted April 29, 2003 Report Posted April 29, 2003 Congratulations, man--it's your Jesus year! Have a good one, and try not to get crucified. Lord knows how I love to play the martyr. :rsly: Quote

Joe G Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 Wow - a nine-year-old thread. That's gotta be like 35 in internet years. Or 135. Thanks for the kind thoughts. Obviously I've moved on to other things (all good), but there's still a piece of me here, and a piece of the whole organissimo experience in me. Never to be forgotten. In other news, I'm going to be moving to Chicago soon, probably within a month. Never thought I'd end up living there, but now I'm really looking forward to it! Take care, everyone, and many blessings. ~j Quote

That said, it's been a couple of decades since I lived there, and I'm still getting some of the cold out of my bones. Are you planning to play in Chicago? If so, let us know when/where. At least let me know. It was nice seeing you at Andy's a few years back. Quote
