Noj Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 Damn...'Sheeds injury sounds WAY more painful than I had originally thought. I wonder how many guys in the same situation would have sat out the series. It says a lot about what kind of player he is. Then again I have always liked 'Sheeds game, and hope the Pistons can finish off the series tomorrow night. My dad has the same plantar fasciitis problem--when it was at its most painful stage, he couldn't stand up on it to walk. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 let's go tenderwolves! kg better leave his weapons at home ss1 Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 k-gee is taking over the 7th game ss1 Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 k-gee is REALLY taking over the 7th game Quote
Brandon Burke Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Dona and done. Wolves seal it (no...not the Premier League Wolves). I was going for Sacto but am not at all bothered by a Minn win. They deserve it. Kevin and Sam came up big. Hell of an ending.... Quote
Noj Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 I gotta give it up for Doug Christie, as much as I've dumped on him--that guy came to play. I actually felt bad for CWebb--his shot was REALLY close to going in. Soulstation, do we have some lovely parting gifts for Sactown? Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 (edited) i'd like to see the pistons win, but i have a feelin' n.j. will win kidd will have a triple double i've got some parting gifts selected for the pistons ss1 lakers in 5 at the most vs tenderwolves Edited May 20, 2004 by Soulstation1 Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 20, 2004 Author Report Posted May 20, 2004 The Pistons will not lose this game on their home court against the Nets. They won't let that happen. Now in the Eastern Finals, with Detroit's injuries, I think the Pacers will win it in 6. I hate to say it, but that's what I feel. The Nets are done. Quote
doubleM Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Well, Kidd didn't produce squat. 0 points. The Eastern Finals should be a good series. Oh yeah, and GO TIMBERWOLVES! Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 21, 2004 Author Report Posted May 21, 2004 So ss1... what are those parting gifts and can they be given to the Nets instead? What did I tell you? You know you're in trouble when Big Ben is hitting 19 foot jumpers. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 (edited) anyone on the nets have a big fro? or smoke weed? Edited May 21, 2004 by Soulstation1 Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 21, 2004 Author Report Posted May 21, 2004 I think J. Kidd must've been smokin' a jay before he came to The Palace, what with that shitty performance! Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 i shoulda stuck with the pistons, i lost $5 on new jersey tonight Quote
PHILLYQ Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 You know that Jason Kidd was known as ason Kidd, because he's got no 'J' Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 21, 2004 Author Report Posted May 21, 2004 I wish I could've seen the whole game, but I was on a gig. I just caught parts here and there on my break. Ok, I've changed my mind. Pistons vs. Pacers.... Pistons in 6. Quote
rachel Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Soulstation: Is that a "parting gift" for Ben? Are you making a prediction? Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 the nets fooled me for a week i picked the pistons for the j-v conference at the beginning of the play-offs i'm going with the pistons in 6 lakers in four (maybe five) lakers are 2 point favorites tonight these will be the lakers two parting gifts Quote
rachel Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Just checkin' .. All of these parting gifts have been given out to the losers; I thought you might have been predicting a Pistons loss. It will be ugly, that's for sure.... Quote
Noj Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 I'm pulling for the Pistons over the Pacers. Rip Hamilton needs to have big games for the Bad Boys to win--he needs to outwork the crafty Reggie Miller. Chauncey needs to d up Tinsley, and Teyshawn needs to match Artest's hustle. Rasheed looked pretty good in the last game, I'm hoping his plantar fasciitis problem is not bothering him to the point that he will be unable to stay with Jermaine O'Neal. The T'Wolves are no chumps. Cassell is another swift PG with J, not faster than Tony Parker but more consistent jumper. Payton will have to do a good job of forcing Cassell toward the help and challenging all his shots. Sprewell is playing tough, but Kobe has gotten the better of him in the past. KG is much faster than Duncan, he will be more difficult for the Mailman to contain. Szcerbiak has made a miraculous recovery to throw in some good minutes. Hassell has been hitting his open jumpers. They're a good team. The biggest problem Wolves have with the Lakers--they have no one for Shaq. Madsen? Olawokandi? Oliver Miller? No chance. Pound it in to Shaq--that should be the Lakers' offensive game plan. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 it doesn't seem like the pacers have much offense to me. artest isn't really a scorer, he's mainly for the "d" the pistons are banged up i'll check that series out any picks on the lakers/tenderwolves BEFORE it starts? i expect a big letdown form the tenders tonght, like game # 1 vs the queens this game is in the bag, trust me tenderwolves are happy just to to be in the conf finals ss1 Quote
Tjazz Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Reggie Miller scores the last 4 points for the Pacers. Amazing He only makes 1 outside shot and that wins the game. I expected Detroit to win. Quote
Tjazz Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 1st game : Lakers/Wolves. Didn't Shaq make 9 of 11 free throws? The Wolves lost by 9. Usually Shaq doesn't make his free throws. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 24, 2004 Author Report Posted May 24, 2004 Great shot by Reggie and good game. I still think the Pacers will take this one in six, even though I don't want to admit it. Quote
