Jim Alfredson Posted May 31, 2004 Author Report Posted May 31, 2004 Game 4 of the Pistons/Pacers series sucked big time. I was playing up in Manistee at the casino, so I only caught it in bits and pieces, but what happened? Thank God the Pistons came back and put the hurt on the Pacers tonight in Game 5. Rip with 33 points, watch-out!!!!! Pistons in six. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 rip ripped shit up b3-er, we'll need a wager of some sort if it winds up pistons v lakers ss1 Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 31, 2004 Author Report Posted May 31, 2004 I haven't been buying CDs lately. You wanna wager a new CD of something or other? Quote
rachel Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 (edited) ..... but what happened? Austin Croshere is what happened. Too bad he didn't happen tonight. Pat Metheny and Bruce Hornsby were terrific. I sat next to Rob Reiner and his son--they flew in from Minnesota after seeing the Lakers get beat. We talked hoops throughout the game -- very cool guy. Met a few very cool Pistons fans; unfortunately they were outnumbered by a whole bunch of asshole Piston fans. Larry Brown is a f-ing whiner. I had forgotten how much of a whiner he is until I got to see it up close and personal. On to Tuesday.... Edited May 31, 2004 by rachel Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 31, 2004 Author Report Posted May 31, 2004 Did you get on TV?! They did a close up of Reiner! What side of him were you sitting on? I'm sure ESPN will re-run that mutha tonight. Croshere was lucky. Rip is the shizzle. Quote
rachel Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 Croshere was lucky when? Detroit was stunned when Croshere started on Friday --they had no idea and weren't at all prepared for the way he made them spread the defense around; plus he was hitting all of his outside shots. Tonight was a different story--he gave new meaning to the word "brick". I was sitting on Rob's (my new best friend...) left side. The camera guy was very careful to only get Rob in the shot--I didn't want to be ignorant and stick my face in there. I was wearing my "I Organissimo" T-shirt too! (if I only had one...) I was all ready to wave to Zora Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 31, 2004 Author Report Posted May 31, 2004 I was wearing my "I Organissimo" T-shirt too! (if I only had one...) I was all ready to wave to Zora If that would've happened, I would've supplied you with a lifetime of free Organissimo records. Quote
rachel Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 Ok!... you're on....it's off to the T-shirt maker man for me. I guess I need to be more pro-active about getting my mug on camera, though. Quote
Tjazz Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 b3-er, we'll need a wager of some sort if it winds up pistons v lakers ss1 You mean if the Lakers take it in 4 or 5? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 31, 2004 Author Report Posted May 31, 2004 "Well, we've still got some unfinished business with these guys," said Darvin Ham, who joked with Rasheed Wallace in the locker room afterward about one of the eight field goals Wallace made. The basket came midway through the fourth quarter after Indiana had cut an 18-point deficit to five, Wallace taking a pass in the left corner and hitting a tough 16-foot turnaround over Reggie Miller. "Were you laughing when you shot that?" Ham asked. "I was laughing before I caught it," Wallace replied. "I had Reggie on me." Ouch. IF the Lakers win the series and when the Pistons do, I say Pistons in 7. The Lakeshow is done when the Big D comes to town! Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 31, 2004 Author Report Posted May 31, 2004 In the words of Ralph Wiley... Read it, baby... Quote
