BruceW Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 Well, here in San Bernardino, California, it has been in the 100's where I live, for the last 3-4 weeks. It gets no ink because the temp predictions for San B are from a lower location in the city. But,up here it is sweltering every day. And, there is no relief in sight. The ONLY good thing is that it is a dry heat and very little humidity; some but very little.Be cool, Bruce Quote
alankin Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 Hot and humid. Hot and humid. Hot and humid. Hot and humid. Hot and humid. Hot and humid. Hot and humid. Hot and humid. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 Been offline several days. Eventually rang my ISP today and said my router was fucked. But she got it going again - the heat had adjusted its settings back to the default and it didn't know what my network was any more. Can you credit it! MG Quote
Jerry_L Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 Still hot as hell here in the Delaware valley. No respite until Sunday. High of 98 F today, real feel 113 F. Quote
Tom 1960 Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 98 degrees. With humidity factored in, 104. Quote
BruceH Posted July 20, 2013 Report Posted July 20, 2013 The weather was hot when I was in SoCal for a few days. Then I came back up here yesterday and it's cold again. Go figure. Quote
BFrank Posted July 20, 2013 Report Posted July 20, 2013 The weather was hot when I was in SoCal for a few days. Then I came back up here yesterday and it's cold again. Go figure. That's why I live here. Quote
sidewinder Posted July 20, 2013 Report Posted July 20, 2013 (edited) No blue sky or sun in London yet! The really hot stuff has moved 100 miles West. Not a cloud in the sky here. Edited July 20, 2013 by sidewinder Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted July 20, 2013 Report Posted July 20, 2013 Overcast today - a bit welcome, to be honest. Just as long as it's a short break. Quote
sidewinder Posted July 20, 2013 Report Posted July 20, 2013 Clouded over here too just now - and a bit of a breeze. Needed to cool off ! Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted July 21, 2013 Report Posted July 21, 2013 (edited) Oh no!!!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-23393858 And where am I on Wednesday - Boscastle. Brad Posted July 21, 2013 Report Posted July 21, 2013 Yucky! but probably not as bad as Friday here in NJ when it was in the mid 90s. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted July 21, 2013 Report Posted July 21, 2013 Yes, Monday night and Tuesday morning is the forecast for rain here. More rain on Wed and thunderstorms Thursday. Our rain barrel is dry as a bone. MG Quote

BFrank Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 Still sweater weather here in SF.................sorry. Quote
kinuta Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 Cooled off a bit, the temperatures for the last few days have been in the low thirties. Humidity is high but it's preferable to the burning sun. Have even managed to sleep without AC. Quote
brownie Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 Summer was late this year but the sun is making up for lost time. Today is supposed to be the hottest day of the heat wave with temperatures expected to hit the 90s°F (35/36°C)! Not taking a chance and walking around town later today. Staying indoor for the rest of the day! Quote
king ubu Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 Smart choice, brownie! Same here, though it feels like it's getting a bit less hot here ... it was up to 35° now for several days, the apartment is stuffy. I'll escape to the movies again tonight (they're showing "Year of the Dragon"), there it's dark and cool and quiet Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 A little cooler today. Very pleasant in the garden this morning. MG Quote
sidewinder Posted July 22, 2013 Report Posted July 22, 2013 (edited) Brownie's Paris heatwave has extended to here today. An excuse for a pint after work down the road from this (after enjoying the panoramic views from the top). Heavy rain tomorrow.. Edited July 22, 2013 by sidewinder Quote
