kinuta
After several days of murderously high humidity, around 100% at night, the skies have cleared and the sun is shining. Currently pleasant at about 31C.
BillF
We don't have hurricanes here, but things can be pretty depressing, as you might expect on August Bank Holiday Monday! Decidedly cold, intermittent rain, everywhere shuttered up, only people about the mentally ill. Message: stay at home and listen to WKCR's Pres and Bird fest. Hardbopjazz
Goodnight Irene. Now the skies are blue and the weather is wonderful here in NY.
BruceW
Really hate that anybody had to go through that hurricane. Saw some really bad stuff on TV news in the New England area. Rest of coast apparently were very lucky. However, I have been going through over 100 degree heat for well over a month now and have had enough. I'm talking 110 and 112 where I live in San Bernardino. Lower degrees always on news but that just ain't so where I am. Whew!!! Can't wait for Oct-Nov. JSngry
Cloudy & lower 80s this AM, rain looked possible but never came...currently 98 & clear w/42% humidity, likely to hit 100, but not too much over...a veritable autumn compared to the last few months, at least for the first few minutes out in it... BeBop
Happy to have left Senegal (110 degrees and humid) and The Gambia (110 and raining) and Brussels (65 and a bit rainy) for the sunny climes of Los Angeles. Wish I could stay more than a day. Oh well.

kinuta
Bloody awful. Black clouds, 100% humidity, 32 high today, 27 at night. A mother of all typhoons is slowly wending it's way here.
kinuta
As if the last typhoon wasn't bad enough with 50 odd dead and another 50 odd missing, presumed dead, we are now under assault by another big typhoon. Torrential, intense rain at the moment
Shawn
64 degrees, the air feels wet, but it won't rain because it's SoCal.
kinuta
This is a seriously fierce typhoon, the middle trunk of a big tree in front of our balcony is almost completely sheared off and hanging by a thread. The neighbours are in panic over which way it will fall, or rather be blown down. Nature seems to have it in for Japan this year. Jazzmoose
It was snowing again last night. It has snowed more this month than it did all winter. It doesn't last through the day, but I'm starting to go batshit waiting for warm weather to get here...
