Matthew Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Hot. AGAIN. That's ditto for the Inland Empire. Man, when is Fall actually getting here?? Yeah, it's already 90 here. Can't wait for cooler weather to arrive. Quote
Tim McG Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Mid-90s up my way in the San Joaquin Valley. By now, we would have had our first fog of the season. This stuff sucks. Quote
BERIGAN Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Down in the upper 30's last night! BRRRR! Quote
BeBop Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Batumi: 50ish and rainy. Good night to stay in and listen. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 First snow of the year, and early. This is going to be a fun winter... Quote
BillF Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Just the north of England November. Cold, rainy, dark, depressing. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Just the north of England November. Cold, rainy, dark, depressing. Why insert November? Quote

BillF Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Just the north of England November. Cold, rainy, dark, depressing. Why insert November? Why insert "north"? Here's London poet Thomas Hood on November: http://www.csh.rit.edu/~jerry/november.html Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 (edited) Pretty depressing in the far south west at present: Lostwithiel in Cornwall. Hope Jazzjet is OK. ****************** I can cope with November - Xmas, despite its many annoyances, brightens things up. It's January/early Feb that I hate. BeBop Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Ending a three-week stay in New York City. After a rough start and a bit of rain, it's turned quite nice (aside from yesterday's mid-day wind storm). Rather hate to move on...to Las Vegas and St. George UT. Quote
BruceW Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Well unlike the last few weeks where we had high winds destroying roofs and clogging gutters and whatnot, it is balmy today with blue skies, a forecast of showers but no rain in sight yet. BruceW Quote
Van Basten II Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) Weird phenomena, this morning with some kind of icy rain and thunderstorm at the same time , we're not yet in 2012 aren't we ? Edited November 20, 2010 by Van Basten II Quote
B. Goren. Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Relatively cold at night, 25°C during day time with low percentage of humidity. Quote
Tim McG Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Rain....and plenty of it! Highs in the low 50s today. Quote
BruceW Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Here comes da rain, here comes da rain!! It is a nice change but not for those who will suffer mud slides. Quote
jostber Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Quite snowy this morning. Now evening and a couple of minus degrees. Winter is here. Quote
BillF Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) This morning began at -8C. Now risen to an almost tropical -7C. This is exceptional: average here at this time of year is about +5C. Still, could be worse - Llandrindod Wells was reported to have reached -17C last night. Edited November 28, 2010 by BillF Quote
sidewinder Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) About -5C down here this morning. The snow has melted though ! Edited November 28, 2010 by sidewinder Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 Looks like the sleeve of one of those 70s Decca reissue LPs of 50s Sibelius recordings that I cut my teeth on. No new snowfall, but the light fall on Fri/Sat night is still there. Crystalline, blue skies, frozen ponds. Hoping I'm not heading for another frog massacre like last year! Quote
Jazzmoose Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 It warmed up to freezing today, so tomorrow should be pure ice. More snow coming as well. I now start screaming whenever I hear California Dreamin', and not for the same reason you do. Quote
porcy62 Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 Cold, it's raining since the day I collect my new motorbike two weeks ago! Quote
