B. Goren.
This week we enjoyed the first rain of the season. We can start smelling the autumn here in Tel-Aviv.

Uncle Skid
60 MPH winds, waves > 11 feet on some parts of Lake Michigan. Surf's up! Just took this picture out of my car window a few minutes ago:
The Magnificent Goldberg
Still no rain. None forecast for here until Saturday - so that'll be the whole of September without rain. We had one damp day with the cloud cover below us, so everything got wet, but it wasn't really raining. And one day, 74 raindrops landed on our patio. AndrewHill
60 MPH winds, waves > 11 feet on some parts of Lake Michigan. Surf's up! Just took this picture out of my car window a few minutes ago: Wicked. Kinda looks like Lake Erie over the last couple of days: high winds and lots of rain, my kind of day. Uncle Skid
My car kinda looked like that this morning! Living in Michigan requires ownership of at least ice scraper/snow brush per car. But, mine is in the garage, over 500 miles away. This early in October, didn't even think about it. I probably looked like a friggin' genius scraping ice off the car with a credit card! jeffcrom
Back to torrential rain and flood warnings in Atlanta - that's all the folks in low-lying areas need right now. My 40-minute commute took an hour and a half this morning.

WorldB3
Rainy as fuck. But I guess we need it. 3 inches of rain for most, up to 9 down in the Santa Cruz mountains. Now you would think with the first major storm of the year and with the roads being oily people would slow down, not tailgate, not weave in and out of traffic on the freeway but no, 100's of traffic accidents today. We don't have the hills and curves like you do, but the same thing happened in the San Joaquin Valley. I mean, you could see the oil on the gutter water and people are still driving like it was sunny and dry....in a friggin' down pour!
