Tim McG Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 65 and balmy today...even the sun came out after our morning fog. 38 tonight. Quote
AndrewHill Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Getting slammed by a huge snow storm since last night, and it already dumped over a foot of snow. Quote
BruceH Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Very sunny today. Temp in the low-to-mid-60's. Quote

AndrewHill Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 A bit of a warmup but now the concern is all of the melting snow on my roof, which is now leaking into my utility closet Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Blizzard! First proper snow we've had for years. It was like driving home through an ECM sleeve. Quote
jostber Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Freezy, going down to -10 C and will be further down by the weekend. Quote
sidewinder Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) Worst snow over here in nearly 20 years - it's GREAT ! Of course many of the wusses in and around London and the SE made their excuses to phone in for the day off.. Edited February 2, 2009 by sidewinder Quote
BillF Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Worst snow over here in nearly 20 years - it's GREAT ! Of course many of the wusses in and around London and the SE made their excuses to phone in for the day off.. Largely escaped it here, Sidewinder, and to be frank I don't mind! Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Blizzard! It's not been bad enough in Notts for my school to be shut so far. But today we've got it good and proper. Nothing to see at all at 5.15 when I got up (I'm 20 miles north of work) but it was already affecting the south Midlands. Got the 'school closed' call at 6.30 (hooray!). Snow started here shortly afterwards and hasn't stopped. To be honest, I'll get far more useful done at home - clear a backlog of course planning. The last few days have been awkward with parents keeping kids home, decimated classes. Hard to know whether to plough on with courses in the knowledge that kids who are away will be bewildered next week; or just do re-enforcement things. Quote
AndrewHill Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Still experiencing a deep-freeze; currently, 10 degrees F. Quote
sidewinder Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 More snow outside the house today. Should be OK to drive through to work though (sigh). Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 (edited) After a very strange week, weatherwise, a glorious Saturday. Cold enough to keep the surviving snow crisp and attractive. This was the scene just up the road a few hours back: Edited February 7, 2009 by Bev Stapleton Quote
AndrewHill Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Still experiencing a deep-freeze; currently, 10 degrees F. Almost 60 degree F today!!! Ohio weather at its finest. Quote
AndrewHill Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Well after being spoiled with Florida weather during spring break, the weather here in Ohio is slowly warming up; we're at about 50 degrees today and sunny. Quote
jlhoots Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Snow on the ground this morning. Pretty but surprising. It'll all have melted by the end of the day. Quote
sidewinder Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Clear blue skies and not far off 20C with strong sun today at the South Coast - just perfect for a beer and a sunbathe. Quote
mikeweil Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) After a long, cold, and wet/snowy winter, spring is coming - blue skies, sun and warmth for a few days now, we installed ourselves on the terrace of our new home, and enjoy it thoroughly after the move's hassle. BruceH Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 It was unseasonably hot over the weekend and Monday. Tuesday was a little better, but today it's apparently gone back to the more normal for April bone-chilling cold. Quote
jlhoots Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Snow last Friday, gone in 12 hours. 75 & sunny today. Quote
