AndrewHill Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 More crazy weather. It was near 40 degrees yesterday morning so all the snow melted and now its below 20 degrees and it all froze and as I look out my front door, it looks like we live in Siberia because yet another storm is dumping yet more snow! Ohio's nuts Quote
randissimo Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 Since the arrival of winter on Nov 30th and in the middle of my sister's fund raiser winter has been just plain vicious! One storm after the other! I think we now have as much snow as we got the entire winter last year and now there's another storm predicted for Tuesday! Global warming? NOT HERE.. I think we're in the beginning of the next 'Ice Age'.. Quote
GregK Posted December 21, 2008 Author Report Posted December 21, 2008 I love this weather. it's about 8 degrees here with strong winds and blowing snow. Quote

Jazzmoose Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 I've lost track of how many days in a row it's snowed, and it's supposed to continue for at least another week. You two can take this White Christmas crap and shove it up Bing Crosby's wazoo... Quote

The Magnificent Goldberg Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 Despite forecast, pretty wet this morning - but it's not raining - cloud all around us and there's a lot of wet inside a cloud. MG Quote
AndrewHill Posted December 25, 2008 Report Posted December 25, 2008 Of course, the snow has melted right before Christmas morning Quote

danasgoodstuff Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Record Dec snowfall here in the other Portland (OR). Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 It's been freezing here for days. Burst water main somewhere in the area affected the whole of Tonyrefail. I noticed we had no water about 2PM (now nearly 9PM). Welsh Water said we'd be back on by 8PM, but their latest message says not until midnight! And the problem's extended to Porth now. Fortunately we had a few bottles of water, so cooking was possible. Dishwasher full MG Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted January 3, 2009 Report Posted January 3, 2009 Ah! The water's back on now - an hour and forty minutes earlier than the last forecast! Oh, the relief! MG Quote
Jazzmoose Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 It's six degrees above zero, F. There's patchy fog that is inpenetrable. The roads are covered by frozen snow and sheets of ice. But, by god, it's NOT SNOWING!!! Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 A dusting of snow last night; then a short drizzle; then freezing again. Roads and patio v dangerous. MG Quote
Claude Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Siberian temperatures all over Europe. -15°C (5°F) at my place. The french Riviera covered in heavy snow: Quote
