Now out on Gibson Island in the Chesapeake Bay....heavy rain & high winds!! The beer, vodka and gin supplies running low. May be forced to swim out to the lighthouse just off shore in search of tonic water!!!

Spooky. Looks like the 'House of Blue Lights' on a pontoon !

I'm kind of curious as to how this whole Hurricane Ike thing is going to play out.

Hang tight. You never know what you're really in store for until it hits, and it seems that in most cases, its not as bad as it seems. Keep your chin up FFA!

Extremely humid and unsettled. Heavy thunder storms and monsoon like downpours almost every evening for the last few weeks.

Not a single typhoon, which is almost without precedent.

Rained all day Friday - major floods (on a UK scale...compared with India, light showers). Wales, West Midlands and the North badly hit.

Hope MG is not affected.

This is a picture from Birmingham:

Woah. That's some serious flooding! Cleared up and beautiful here today.

A couple of really wet days straight out of Soddom and Gommoragh but last night was almost a Summer clear night sky (heck, I was drinking wine outdoors  ) then fierce winds today but no rain. Let's hope that's it for a while !

Temps are going down here in West Michigan.. Always a sad and melancholy transition for me from the comfort and fond memories of the warm season to the miserable and confining conditions of the winter season, the time of year when gigs slow down and too many lesson days get canceled due to bad weather..

And tonight we'll have a hard freeze with lows in the 20's.. :(

We need a winter schedule for Organissimo doing Caribbean cruise ship gigs and a tour of the southwest and Florida.. :)

It was f*****g hell here recently...

Got hit with a freak early snowstorm Monday night through Tuesday. Twenty inches of wet snow, which no one was prepared for. Trees down all over (some still had leaves, which didn't help). Lost power for close to 80 hours, just got it back this evening. Fortunately it only got down to around 20 the next couple of nights, so no pipes froze. Had to shovel everything out by hand, as local plow guy hadn't yet put either plow or studded snow tires on his truck.
