Noj
Yeah - it's getting pretty wild and wholly out there. That's better than having it partially indoors! It's so nice out here it's probably rude to share.
NaturalSoul
was around 99 the other day, feels just as hot today.
The Magnificent Goldberg
Three days of hot weather here and it feels like sommer's back (for a bit). MG
paul secor
Supposed to be very hot & humid today. Not complaining tho, after seeing what's happened in the midwest.
T.D.
We've had relatively few super hot/humid days this summer (in fact, it's been quite a good season in the Catskill region of NY), but the past 3 days have been really horrible. Particularly the humidity. Fortunately, it's supposed to break tonight.
Matthew
Looking out my window, sky is covered with clouds, temp is 66.
MoGrubb
97 a few minutes ago. It's supposed to top out at 99. The humidity is down somewhat, probably lower/mid 60s which makes the heat bearable. I haven't turned on the ac yet. It's only about 84 in the house. When it hits 85+ I'll turn it on. Joe G
Kinda wild. The tornado sirens sounded an hour or so ago, so I went outside to check the sky. The big storm was off to the north, rising from the treeline to partially obscure the Big Dipper. Occasional flashes of lightning lit up the entire cloud mass. To the south, the moon (and Venus) was being overtaken by another storm moving northeast. Directly above was a clear sky, replete with the Summer Triangle. A meteor streaked overhead. Wind seemed to be blowing almost due north, though I can't be sure of that. The relative calm that prevailed then has ended, as I believe the southern storm has arrived. A scary-strong gust of wind just passed through. Temps are warm. So there you have it.

Free For All
So did any of our board members from the northwest have any problems with the nasty superstorm out there?

rachel
So did any of our board members from the northwest have any problems with the nasty superstorm out there? My brother and sister-in-law live in English Hill in Redmond and have been very fortunate. There is flooding all around them, but their house is at the top of a hill and has withstood the storms well. Their already difficult commute into Seattle has been miserable, but it could be much worse for them.
MoGrubb
Colder'n shit here. Supposed to get to only 49 degrees today, w/a low of 31 tonight. But that's OK, because I'm just rolling in money for heating oil...

sidewinder
I think the roof is still on. Just off to check.. Looks like a lot more of the same is 'scheduled' for tomorrow so I can see another Mosaic Day coming up. :rsmile: Edited December 7, 2007 by sidewinder
The Magnificent Goldberg
Poured and galed (?) all day yesterday. Just about drying up this morning. No gale damage but still extremely windy. And the forecast is more the same pretty well, until Monday. MG
