catesta Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 At the moment it is 19 °F. We were hit pretty hard with snow Sunday. I was out from 12:00 AM until around 3:00 PM with the crews. Tomorrow it should be back in the 40s. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 I can't believe it's raining again. Yesterday it was bone-cold. Now it's raining... again. I have an entire garage of kitchen cabinets waiting to go up, a contractor that has disappeared, and my garage roof leaks. The cabinets have been there since just after Christmas and in those few weeks it has rained 80% of the time. In Michigan, in January... rain rain rain. Give me a break. Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 No, snow is better because it means it is cold which means that my roof won't leak in the garage and my cabinets won't get wet. Right now I have to check on them to make sure the water isn't getting underneath (I have tarps over them all, but as the water pools on the floor, it wants to go under the cabinets). Quote

I sure hope it stops raining. The closest I've come to that is when the fool living above me was watering his plants. And he didn't have anything under the pots to catch the run-through which dripped through the floor onto my CD collection. I'm glad I was home so I could move the CDs damm quick. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 we haven't had any rain in tucson since september Quote
catesta Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Straight from the source..... A record high temperature of 61 degrees was set at Laguardia today at 0359 PM EST. This ties the old record of 61 set in 1951. It's still about 55 right now. Quote

catesta Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 It's going to be a little windy today, but temps in the upper 50s and we may even reach or pass 60. Quote
kinuta Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 About 2C. Covered in snow and ice. Quote

makpjazz57 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 South of Boston -snow as of 9:00 a.m., but seems to be turning to the wet kinda snow pretty fast. We've been having some strange weather here in the Boston area this year. One day, we get a spring-like tease of 55 degree weather and then it turns on ya and all of a sudden we're back to winter temps of 30 degrees. Marla Quote
7/4 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 rain, rain. please go away. don't come back another day. Quote
Stereojack Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 Snowing like hell right now, and I'm getting ready to head out into it! "Blue Monday, how I hate Blue Monday....." Quote
catesta Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 It's going to be a beautiful day tomorrow. Sunny and in the mid 50s. A perfect day to go and see Charles Tolliver and his big band! Quote
frank m Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Yup---here in the NYC/Long Island area it has so far been an incredibly warm winter. I know you shouldn't let the fairies hear you say that, but there's no getting around it. Okay by me, but this global warming is no hoax. Quote
catesta Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Things have changed. It's been cold all week. Looks like Saturday we will get the biggest snow storm of the year. Quote
chris olivarez Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Got up to 54 degrees today. Currently 28 degrees. Quote
John L Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 I have been in Moscow, Russia since the New Year, and we have been in a constant DEEP freeze, the coldest winter on record for 100 years. I walked 30 minutes to work today. BRRRRR Quote

catesta Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 They say we can expect 8-12 inches of snow here. A blizzard warning is in effect until Sunday. Quote
makpjazz57 Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 I think the Boston area is looking at as much, if not more than NYC. Living near the Cape, sometimes we miss getting the heavy duty snowfall. Then again, I have some pics of some serious snow surrounding our house! Last weather report I saw was calling for 8 -14 inches of snow. The other drag is that almost every time we've had either a snowstorm or some kind of high winds in the past 6 months, we've had power outages. Not fun... Marla Quote
catesta Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 The snow be here! Looks like we're gonna get it pretty good. Quote
