Chuck Nessa
Shitty. Snowed all day. Around noon a truck pulled up in front of the house, told me he could not get in the driveway. Had to unload a skid of cds in the street and carry them to the garage, then inside the house and lastly to the basement. Ahhhhhhhhhh, the life in the arts. 7/4
We had a high around 50° today. 57 down here! I was shocked to wake up and see most of the snow gone.
Chuck Nessa
Weather seems to be lousy in Buffalo too. That's where our son Eric lives. Late last night he slipped and shattered his left wrist. Surgery consult on Monday, but the ER doc said his wrist was hamburger and would need plates and screws. catesta
High should be around 43 °today. We got a light dusting of snow yesterday so there is some white on the ground. We're heading into Manhattan for some lunch and to take my girlfriend's son to Central Park. She thinks he might like to see the zoo. He is 14, so this should be a real picnic. rachel
So how was the zoo? It's been 55 degrees and very stormy today. Sun broke out a little while ago and produced the most beautiful rainbow-- 180 degrees of perfect ROYGBIV. Anybody else in Indy see it? The kid on the other hand, he walked around with a three foot long face and his headphones on. It appears either we, and, or Manhattan is not cool enough for him. He is wrong on both counts. We've got rain at the moment. Edited January 2, 2006 by catesta

BruceH
Wet, wet, wet. I wish we could give some of our rain to the parts of the midwest that are suffering drought and fires right now.

Jim Alfredson
If the sun ever comes out again here in Michigan, it will be a happy day.
sidewinder
By way of contrast I was sunbathing at Lake Windermere (Northern England) on New Years Day. Got a bit of mild sun-burn and it was also warm enough to eat an ice cream. Unbelievable - it had snowed there 2 days earlier.
BeBop
Back in the US for at least as long as it takes to change planes. SLC is great. Fairly warm (high 30s) and periodically clear.
