Guest Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 The front door and back doors are open along with a few windows. Life's a bitch. Currently listening to Errol Garner's Concert By The Sea. Quote
Peter Johnson Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Snowing in Seattle! Go figure! Of course, staff are already talking about "getting home early before it gets rough out there." It's 38 degrees!!! Come on!!! Quote
DukeCity Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Clear blue skies. Gets cold over night (low 30s even upper 20s) and then warms up to high 50s in the afternoon. Warm enough to put the top down on the car for afternoon driving. Quote

It's 38 degrees!!! Come on!!! Upper 60's yesterday. Today it only reached around 50, but it's clear and really nice. I think we're heading for a cold spell. Quote
rostasi Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Record high today! Old record was 83° The sun is down and it's still in the 80's! Quote
catesta Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 That is crazy! On Sunday your high is only 50. I've been told swings like that in temps make people ill. Today = 42° | 31° Tomorrow = 42° | 31° Quote
rostasi Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 You mean to say that there's no swinging in New York? Quote
Peter Johnson Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 22 degrees at Crystal Mountain (near Mount Rainier) and powder as far as the eye could see!!! Second ski trip this week--yes, there are some good things about being back in Seattle! Quote
catesta Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 (edited) You mean to say that there's no swinging in New York? Absolutely. I even have a cold to prove it. Edited December 4, 2005 by catesta Quote

Harold_Z Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Started snowing here too. I just got home from my gig and beat the snow, but I looked out the window and there it was. Quote
7/4 Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Started snowing here too. I just got home from my gig and beat the snow, but I looked out the window and there it was. I went to a loft/gallery concert and made it home in time too. I was checking to see if it started. It's wailing now. Weather.com sez: Snow accumulations less than one inch. but it looks like more already (from the 8th floor). Quote
B. Goren. Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Very nice weather in Tel-Aviv: 29° C (84° F) and sunny. Quote

Have you looked outside? I'm getting ready to head out and check on the trucks. We got more than expected, but no big deal since I had the guys all on stand by. Quote

I think I don't want to admit that Winter is here. Two years ago we got womped with a major storm on Dec. 6. Three months and two weeks to go folks. Quote

The forecast was for a cooler 44 by the end of the week and Friday it was 34 and very windy. And then there's the snow... Second snow of the season and I'm already ready for winter to be over. Guy No s***! My job requires to me work outside(mailman) and I already have a negative attitude. Well another 11 years and maybe I can retire. I appreciate the job you're doing. It ain't easy. Tom 1960 Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Funny stuff, guys. I really do enjoy my job for the most part. It keeps me out of the office most of the day and the time flies by. Winters can test the nerves abit. The cold doesn't effect me too much as long as I dress properly. It's the ice that gets me. I've fallen a number of times. Luckily haven't gotten hurt seriously, although it creates anxiety no doubt. As for taking any jazz shipments... Well there is this guy on the route who gets Mosaic mailings now and then. I couldn't mess with him though. He already knows I'm a jazz fan and he would suspect me first if anything should suddenly come up missing. Besides, he recently gave me a jazz Christmas anthology and I just wouldn't have the heart. Quote
