kinuta Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 Thank goodness the typhoon has finally moved north. Monumental rainfall has caused flooding all over the placeTomorrow promises blue skies! Quote
paul secor Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 It's been 90ish, humid and dry for the past week to ten days. Cooled off today and we're supposed to get some rain (finally). The forecast is 75-80 for the next week. I'm ready for that. Quote

Shawn Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Hit 97 in central Los Angeles this afternoon. Â September always seems to be the hottest month. Â Â Quote
BFrank Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 mid-80's here in SF today.Supposed to be a major "El Nino" this winter, which means lots of rain. I'll believe it when I see it. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 (edited) A breathtakingly beautiful week of foggy mornings and sunny days. Indian Summer as hoped for. I think it might be the first time this year I've seen cloudless skies. Edited October 2, 2015 by A Lark Ascending Quote
JSngry Posted October 2, 2015 Report Posted October 2, 2015 Very much enjoying having the AC off and the windows open for the first time in about 4-5 months. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted October 4, 2015 Report Posted October 4, 2015 Spoke too soon...gone all slate with proper British weather heading in from the Atlantic. Quote
Matthew Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 Another hot day, 86 (30c for the rest of the world). Â Am I the only California sick and tired of all this "good weather?" Â Seriously, I'm desperate to see rain at this point. Quote
catesta Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 I've been in Phoenix since sometime in September and while we have a few days of heavy rain and a few days in the 80s for the most part it's been upper 90s to 100+.I feel your pain and I too am ready for a change in weather. I'm hoping all the talk about an El Nino is true. I've got a lot of business to do this fall and winter in California and we need the rain. Quote
kinuta Posted October 15, 2015 Report Posted October 15, 2015 Beautiful, mild, blue skies, just about perfect. Quote
niels Posted October 15, 2015 Report Posted October 15, 2015 Another hot day, 86 (30c for the rest of the world).  Am I the only California sick and tired of all this "good weather?"  Seriously, I'm desperate to see rain at this point.Come and live in the Netherlands (or the UK for this matter) for some time, and maybe you will appreciate the good weather .In the Netherlands some places already had their first snow yesterday. I think for the whole next week the predictions weatherwise are: cold, windy, cloudy (I think I haven't seen a small piece of blue sky for days now) and lots of rain. It's seriously depressing. This was yesterday: Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted October 16, 2015 Report Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) The autumn leaves are at perfection and there's no sun to swoon over them to. No let up in sight - the wind will have blown them all away if we are not lucky. Edited October 16, 2015 by A Lark Ascending Quote

A Lark Ascending Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 Someone has installed a sheet of steel across the sky for the last week and it's staying there for the foreseeable future. I don't think we make steel here any more; must be part of the Osborne deal with China. Could be Corbyn...an alternative to Trident.  Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted November 12, 2015 Report Posted November 12, 2015 Oooh! We have our very own named storm: "The first storm to be officially named by the Met Office, is set to bring winds up to 80 mph across far north of UK on Thursday." http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ Quote

BillF Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 Most depressing weather forecast today, showing rain for the rest of today and continuing all next week. At times like this I'd like to be somewhere else. I receive daily Skype calls from one of my daughters who lives in Zaragoza in north-east Spain. Can't help contrasting Zaragoza's 12" of rain a year with Manchester's 32". Quote
