sidewinder Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) No snow (we rarely get any) but some fierce storms blowing in from the Atlantic last night ! Edited January 30, 2015 by sidewinder Quote
paul secor Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 A few more inches of snow - and colder. Quote
Tom 1960 Posted January 30, 2015 Report Posted January 30, 2015 6 more inches scheduled for later today on top of the 2 feet earlier in the week. Quote

paul secor Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Looks like we'll end up with about a foot of snow today. I guess we got off easy last week so it's evening up somewhat. Quote
Shawn Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Should hit 80 degrees this afternoon. Sunny and 66 at the moment. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted February 4, 2015 Report Posted February 4, 2015 It's rainy, spring-like weather here today. Normally, all the parking lots around town have "snow mountains" until at least May. This year they're gone. Maybe it was all GregMo's fault... Quote
Jazzmoose Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 Is snow normal there? I remember a light dusting in Yokosuka when I was there many years ago, and people were freaking out. Quote
paul secor Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 Another 3-4" of snow here. No big deal, but I'm starting to get tired of it. I just try to think of the folks who live in the Buffalo area or Maine and what we have here seems fine. Quote
Tom 1960 Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 Another 3-4" of snow here. No big deal, but I'm starting to get tired of it. I just try to think of the folks who live in the Buffalo area or Maine and what we have here seems fine. Another 6 inches or so today. Navigating the streets can be a challenge at times. The snow has nowhere to go. People getting pissed when I park the truck to get out and deliver the mail and there isn't much room to go around. One guy dropped the F-bomb on me yesterday. Quote
jazzbo Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 It finally stopped snowing for a spell! Quote
paul secor Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 COLD - 10 below last night. Probably not all that cold for, say, Minnesota, but plenty cold for the Hudson Valley in NY. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 Too damn cold here in NY. 1 F -17.2 C. I long for a warmer place to live. I opened up my tool shed to let any of the stray cats roaming the streets to get some protection. Yeah they went inside overnight, but also did their business in my shed. Quote
paul secor Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 -15 here last night. Too cold for me. At least no snow. Boston, you have my sympathy. Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 Snowbanks over my head. Ice dams one foot thick. I am sick of snow. I am sick of the cold. I'm getting too old for all this shoveling. I *am* too old for the roof-raking. I need to move somewhere warmer. Now my daughter just texted me that the town knocked down the snowbanks on the side of our street, burying the end of my driveway again. Ugh. Quote
Tom 1960 Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 At least 18 inches of snow over the weekend. Wind chills around 0 daytime, near 25 below at night. At least I'm off today for President's Day. This past week was probably one of the worst weeks I've worked in recent memory. 60 hours at least. Can't even begin to imagine what this week will bring. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 It's colder than it looks. Quote
Scott Dolan Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 I feel really bad for all of you cats in the northeastern U.S., as our winter here in the midwest has been insanely mild. We got about 4 inches of snow this morning, which brings our total accumulation this winter to about…5 inches. That's about a fifth of our average. Temps haven't been bad, either. I think our lowest temp so far is 6 degrees. We're going to eventually pay for it, I'm sure. Probably have a brutal drought this summer. Or a tornado season that's off the charts... But, I did get to finally to go out and play in my new 4x4 for the first time. Never was a truck person, but my conversion was completed today. Quote
Tim McG Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 Unseasonably warm and dry. A 4th year of a drought that is crippling us. Quote
