The Magnificent Goldberg Posted October 31, 2014 Report Posted October 31, 2014 First day for a month it hasn't rained here. The trick-or-treaters were out in force. MG Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted December 26, 2014 Report Posted December 26, 2014 White Christmas! A goodly fall at present. Quote
Shawn Posted December 26, 2014 Report Posted December 26, 2014 60 degrees & sunny in Los Angeles. Quote
BillF Posted December 26, 2014 Report Posted December 26, 2014 White Christmas! A goodly fall at present. Something between rain/sleet/snow coming down here. In the family we call this "Glossop weather" as we would go the few miles to that higher place to find snow for sledging when my daughters were little. Trouble was the younger one would ask to go to Glossop in May or June as if the winter wonderland was permanent there. Quote

This transition from Summer to Winter for me will be a challenge.. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 Sheffield last night: Seems east of the Pennines got the worst of it. Quote
kinuta Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 (edited) Sheffield last night: Seems east of the Pennines got the worst of it. That makes me homesick (not). We had a good bit more snow than that last winter. My Indian pal at the local kebab take out was both amazed and horrified, he'd never seen more than a few flakes of snow in Bengal. The Magnificent Goldberg Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 Lovely day Christmas Day. Rain all day yesterday. Another lovely day today.Changeable MG Quote
johnblitweiler Posted December 28, 2014 Report Posted December 28, 2014 My nephew keeps his home at 62 degrees and my brother and sister-in-law (they grew up in cold places) keep their home at under 60 degrees. My niece and I are unhappy at less that 78 degrees. No genetic consistency here. Warmest Christmas in Madison, Wisconsin in recent years. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted December 28, 2014 Report Posted December 28, 2014 Six inches of snow on the ground, and a high of 17 (-8 for those not living in anti-intellectual societies...) later this week. Oh boy. Quote

BeBop Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 The last time I worked for this midtown Manhattan client, it was Superstorm Sandy. Well, I'm back...for the big (anticipated) blizzard. Quote

Hardbopjazz Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 It's very cold and snow and more snow on the way, just in time for my flight to an even colder location. Quote

ArtSalt Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 It's been depressing in a cold, damp, North Sea maritime climate way for several weeks now: like a journey on the M62 from Manchester to Leeds over Saddleworth moor, only not quite that bad. As a tonic I've been taking vitamin D and wearing bright preppy colours to defeat it! Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 A heavy midday fall of snow, guaranteed to turn nice children into lunatics. Allowing snow to fall on schools. Proof no. 234,567 to refute the theory of Intelligent Design. Quote
