A Lark Ascending Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 Rubbish. Not seen the sun since Sunday - bucket loads of rain again like in the winter. And the forecast for the future doesn't look promising. Hope it's not shaping up like the summer of 2012. Will have to put the Eddie Palmieri records away. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 Sun and showers. More of the same to come but mostly dry. I didn't need my coat to take the dog out this afternoon, but I did wear my jacket MG Quote
BruceW Posted May 29, 2014 Report Posted May 29, 2014 Tain't Necessarily So my friend...... A few days ago I needed the heat on in the mornings and late at night and now it is hot as hell (San Bernardino, Calif.) and I am not British... Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 The sun came out at 7.30 last evening. And it's there today. First time in a week. Quote
Tom 1960 Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 Looking forward to a relaxing day here in Northern New England. Temps to be in the low 70's. Great day for open windows and some beach walking. Quote
Shawn Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 Currently 73 degrees and sunny, high temp is supposed to be 77. Quote
papsrus Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 It's Sunday, the air conditioner is on the fritz and it's 83 degrees inside. ... 84 ... Quote
kinuta Posted June 1, 2014 Report Posted June 1, 2014 (edited) It hit 35/95 yesterday and will probably reach 33/91.4 or so today. It's unusually hot but hopefully it should drop back to 27/80.6 or so in a couple of days. We're still a few weeks away from the onset of jungle heat and humidity. It's interesting how many posts use Fahrenheit. Edited June 1, 2014 by kinuta Quote

sidewinder Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) Summer ended half an hour ago - managed to get the washing in beforehand (phew!) MG My incinerator is incinerating away quite happily in the rain ! Nice downpour in the muggy conditions - no surprise that a croc has been spotted in the River Severn.. paul secor Posted July 4, 2014 Report Posted July 4, 2014 Hot and humid yesterday. Cool and raining today. I'll take today. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted July 4, 2014 Report Posted July 4, 2014 After two weeks of dry weather we're needing water. Been glowering over the last few days but doing nothing. Has just started pouring down. Hooray! Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted July 5, 2014 Report Posted July 5, 2014 We had two or three days of rain, but the forecast's sunny now until Wednesday. I thought summer was over.MG Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted July 5, 2014 Report Posted July 5, 2014 Rained heavily overnight and into the morning but sun appeared about lunchtime - glowing since then. Hopefully nice for the bikes. Quote
kinuta Posted July 5, 2014 Report Posted July 5, 2014 Lovely and cool with the temperature barely touching 30. The nights are pretty comfortable and not so humid. We're lucky this year but all that will change when the so called rainy season finishes in a few weeks. Quote
Shawn Posted July 5, 2014 Report Posted July 5, 2014 80 and sunny, forecast calling for the exact same thing for the next 10 days. Quote
kinuta Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 It's been gloomy and heavily overcast all day with 100% humidity. Now it's growling with thunder and raining. Never mind, just another super typhoon. People in Tokyo are totally blase about typhoons despite the tv's best efforts at spreading dread. Quote
niels Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 It's been raining non-stop for two days here and the sun is nowhere to be seen. Feels more like fall, then like summer, bbrrr. Quote
