Tim McG Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 (edited) Finally getting some relief here in SF. Today was in the 70's and it's much cooler this evening. I even saw a hint of fog this afternoon. Bring it ON!!! I'll be up in the Bay Area next weekend for the Padres/Giants series, so I'm really hoping for some cool weather, BFrank Edited September 12, 2004 by GoodSpeak Quote
chris olivarez Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Upper 70's just ideal. Fall's a-comin to Colorado. Quote
BruceH Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Sunny and breezy. Fog in the city but breaking up during the day. Quote
Free For All Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 (edited) There were a lot of cicadas around this summer- I think it was the 7 year cycle. I noticed how loud they can get while I was sitting out on the deck- sometimes you have to raise your voice to be heard over their cicadous cacaphony. They're noisy but seem to be harmless. Is this mostly a midwest thing, or do other regions get these infestations? Edited September 14, 2004 by Free For All Quote

Is this mostly a midwest thing, or do other regions get these infestations? I believe it's a seventeen-year cycle. The mid-atlantic states get them big-time. I guess New England doesn't get them that much though, because none of my friends have complained this year, and I don't remember them. Quote
7/4 Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 I believe it's a seventeen-year cycle. I think it depends on the type of cicada. Quote

chris olivarez Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Another ideal day. In the upper 70's. Quote
brownie Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 There was some light rain all day in southwestern France yesterday. Must have pleased the local farmers! Rain should stop later today. It'ld better because I will be driving over the Pyrenees mountains and is spectacular sceneries and head to sunny Catalunya for more holidays... Quote
catesta Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Starting to cool down a bit. We will still probably reach 100 today, but at least the nights are better. Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Today was a beautiful dark fall day in Lansing, MI. Overcast the whole day and very cool after some very high temperatures for this time of year (into the 80s last week). We have a frost warning for tonight! Brrrr! I like rainy days sometimes. Come winter I'll be saying "WHERE THE HELL IS THE SUN!!?" though! The grass is always greener... Quote
Tim McG Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 It was way down to 89 today. Ooooo. Quote

I love cloudy, cool days. Had to bring some house plants back inside from being outdoors all summer... I don't know if I will be longing for sun in the winter, but I will be missing 60 degree weather when it's about 10 below. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Yeah, I can't wait till it gets warmer. Quote
AfricaBrass Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 I'm so happy! It's in the high 60's here. I'm so glad this winter is almost over (and I usually love winter). Quote
catesta Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 (edited) We've been getting an unusual amount of rain for the past couple of months. The highs still remain in the 70's. We will soon begin the journey into the 80's, 90's and beyond. Glad I'll be checking out this summer. Edited March 7, 2005 by catesta Quote
7/4 Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Unfortunately, the rest of the week isn't going to be this nice. Quote
