sidewinder
Well - it's glorious blue skies out here at the moment but no doubt it won't last ! Looks like my locality is hitting close to 225. Rock on ! Edited February 1, 2014 by sidewinder
sidewinder
Can't believe that none of us Brits have been posting about the weather this week... Sodom & Gommoragh etc. Edited February 5, 2014 by sidewinder
A Lark Ascending
But do not fear. David Cameron has taken personal command of Cobra. He's ordered Osborne and Gove to bring the buckets.
paul secor
About a foot of snow here overnight and this morning, but it's supposed to be sunny tomorrow, so all's well.
A Lark Ascending
That's Devon! I'll certainly not be seeking a sea view on the strand.
sidewinder
With the main Exeter/Penzance rail link now cut off, Cornwall must be feeling a bit isolated (or even more isolated) at the moment. That Dawlish coastal rail stretch on the pic has stood intact (until now) since 1840 ! The 'main act' still to come on Saturday as well.. A Lark Ascending
Hope you are OK. You don't seem to be in the major danger zone but it still looks pretty hairy. (though looking again, aren't you Dorset?) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26042990 Edited February 5, 2014 by A Lark Ascending

BeBop
Snow did come to Yachats, OR. 90 minutes for the 26 mile commute this morning...mainly because of whiteout lack of visibility. A Lark Ascending
Still calm here. But looks like it might get lively: Fortunately Our Saviour is at hand: When I was at uni, silver-spoon public school types were known as the 'green welly brigade'. Seems like fashions have not changed. Maybe Michael Gove will issue every family with sets of green wellies in his crusade to make all schools like public schools. Well, it's happening to the areas they represent - Charles, too. I see the Telegraph was questioning flood defence spending on cities, rather than country. Might be handy to let Liverpool go under? A Lark Ascending
Dawlish Meanwhile, the pillocks continue to show off, oblivious to the safety of those who will have to turn out if they get into trouble. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26095937 Edited February 8, 2014 by A Lark Ascending
BeBop
Fully snowed in now. Couldn't get to work today; still have to pay for the hotel where I'm trapped, so a net loss day for me.
A Lark Ascending
Very windy and wet from early afternoon here though it's calmed now. But we've nothing like this: Keep expecting Kevin Costner to pop up. Or Memphis Minnie. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26106290 Edited February 9, 2014 by A Lark Ascending
