Now out on Gibson Island in the Chesapeake Bay....heavy rain & high winds!! The beer, vodka and gin supplies running low. May be forced to swim out to the lighthouse just off shore in search of tonic water!!!

Rained all day Friday - major floods (on a UK scale...compared with India, light showers). Wales, West Midlands and the North badly hit.

Extremely humid and unsettled. Heavy thunder storms and monsoon like downpours almost every evening for the last few weeks.

Not a single typhoon, which is almost without precedent.

A couple of really wet days straight out of Soddom and Gommoragh but last night was almost a Summer clear night sky (heck, I was drinking wine outdoors ) then fierce winds today but no rain. Let's hope that's it for a while !
