catesta Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 It peaked at 100 degrees here yesterday, I'm afraid summer is upon us. Quote
Aggie87 Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 I woke up to a huge thunderstorm and 10" inches of rain on Sunday morning. The street had about 2' of standing water in it until about 2:00 pm, so I couldn't even leave to go get the newspaper! There were alot of folks who thought they could get through the waters, only to stall their cars, and have to leave them until later in the day. Bet they won't try that again! Quote
7/4 Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 11:39 am, 63 and sunny. Just got back from a walk in the park. Ah...Spring in Jersey. Quote
Chrome Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 It snowed here for about 20 minutes this morning ... ah, "spring" in Detroit. Quote

BruceH Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Hot yesterday, hot today. HOT!! (I need a sweating, sweltering smiley.) Perhaps I shouldn't complain----no floods at least. Quote
RainyDay Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Hot. Hot here is relative. If you live near the Bay, hot is anything over 80 and we all wilt and whine like crazy. It's going to be close 90 degrees in SF and in Oakland. It's too early for it to be like this. Last summer we had record breaking heat. Last month we had almost two straight weeks of record breaking heat, waaay too early in the year for that. I've lived here for over 30 years and this is not normal weather. It takes the fog a long time to get here and cool things off. Typical heat waves last 3-5 days, not 1-2 weeks. Global warming... Quote
BruceH Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 A scary thought. Right now, where I am, the heat has broken and cooler ocean breezes are coming in. Thank God. Quote
wesbed Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Here's a live weather camera in Tucson. >camera link< Interesting. At 6:00PM, it looks to be warm and mostly sunny. B) Quote
chris olivarez Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Got into the 70's today but a system is moving in bringing cooler temperatures and moisture including snow in the higher elevations. Springtime in the Rockies-gotta love it. Quote
Big Wheel Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 We just had a freak thunderstorm here, with buckets of rain for about an hour. The thunder has now subsided, but it's still raining. Quote

Down here at the bottom of the bay, it's been mid 90s, and I'm dying... This would be a nice "break in the summer" heat wave in mid June, but in April? I hope this isn't an indication for the summer... Quote
BruceH Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 You and me both! Today looks to be OK though; cool breezes and reasonable heat. Quote

Funny how love becomes a cold rainy day funny, that rainy day is here! Funny how love becomes a cold rainy day funny . . . that rainy day is here! Quote
