The Magnificent Goldberg Posted December 25, 2013 Report Posted December 25, 2013 It's a beautiful morning here in Tonyrefail. Rain scheduled for this evening, about 8 or 9. Happy Christmas to all our readers! MG Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 My goodness, they are having it bad in the South: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25517504 Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 Another lovely day here today. Strange - it usually rains here. MG Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 Just got our power back on after 4 1/2 days of outage. The house was down to 37F. We spent Christmas mainly at my mother-in-law's and had the annual extended Alfredson family dinner at my sister's, who is 8 months pregnant. We're finally back home, safe and sound. It could be worse. Flooding... yikes! Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 Struth! I guess it's not your electricity that's running the board, Jim. Glad to hear you're at least warm now, if damp. MG Quote
medjuck Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 I hate to admit that it's 75 and sunny here today. But we do have to worry about brush fires. Quote
BruceH Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 Unseasonably warm and sunny here, but we do have to worry about catastrophic earthquakes. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 Bloody breezy today. People's recycling blown all over the road. Gotta say thank you to the collection team who cleared it all up. MG Quote
Head Man Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 VERY windy here today...lost the power for a while this morning. Fingers-crossed the worst has happened. Quote
BeBop Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Ugh. London's just miserable. Rainy, cold... Actually, I'm kidding. This was about as nice a January day as I've seen in London...not to jinx us tomorrow.... Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) Today was beautifully clear - but we've had a few of those in between recent storms. Forecast is 'Exceptional weather' to hit UK. Doesn't look good, especially in the West Country: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/ Edited January 2, 2014 by A Lark Ascending Quote
paul secor Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 Snowing all day here but, so far, light and fine snow. Supposed to get heavier. Hope not. Quote
