BeBop Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Arlington, VA. Presently 90F and headed for 95, they say. Mecifully, the humidity is low at 60 percent. Sure, it's hot. But we got thunderstorms coming in a day of few, with temps in the mid-90s. So I'll enjoy this while I can. Quote
BillF Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Mainly sunshine, some cloud - 68F - the English summer - very pleasant! Quote
paul secor Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Just Hot. Not Texas or Arizona hot, but too hot for here. Quote
Tom 1960 Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Just Hot. Not Texas or Arizona hot, but too hot for here. Got into the low 90's here today. Glad that new air conditioner arrived when it did. Quote

Glad that new air conditioner arrived when it did. Unfortunately for Tom, USPS vehicles don't have air conditioning - at least not in New York. Quote
Quincy Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 One day away from summer and we still haven't had an 80 degree day. Quote
papsrus Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 It has been overcast, damp and dreary here since I returned from New Orleans last Monday -- a full week! Dribbles of rain here and there over the past 7 days. The skies opened up this morning with a steady rain. Quote
carnivore Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Here in Virginia a high of 100 F predicted for the next five days. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 (edited) Mainly sunshine, some cloud - 68F - the English summer - very pleasant! No rain since the start of June. An unusually dry spring and early summer. Expect the heavens to open in 2 1/2 weeks as the school holidays start! Edited July 5, 2010 by Bev Stapleton Quote

Tom 1960 Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 91 degrees. Glad I'm off from work today being a holiday. Not looking forward to Tuesday/Wednesday when I return. The forecast looks brutal. Quote
GregK Posted July 5, 2010 Author Report Posted July 5, 2010 quite toasty here, mid-90s with humidity. approaching 100s tomorrow. We are being told to stay indoors. A 10-min walk for the dog (black fur, large breed) just wipes him out in this heat. Quote
Shawn Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 For once, it's actually cooler in Texas than the east coast. Quote
kinuta Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Mid rainy season. Hot, leaden skies, oppressively humid, horrible. Quote
papsrus Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 Still raining here. It's like living in an aquarium. Quote
Tim McG Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 High 90s and 100s here. Muggy last week. Ugh. Quote
Tom 1960 Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I was told with the heat index, the temperature registered 105 degrees today. I believe it. Quote
BFrank Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 on the chilly side.... probably mid-50's this evening. Quote
Tim McG Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 on the chilly side.... probably mid-50's this evening. I was in The City last week to watch the semi-pro Giants vs. the [hated] Dodgers. Long story short, I went through Priceline and got a deal on the SFO Hyatt. So I called ahead to ask about the temperatures. They told me it had been hot, you know, in the mid-70s to low 80s. Quote
jeffcrom Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I just got back to Atlanta from Bellingham, Washington, halfway between Seattle and Vancouver. I watched Independence Day fireworks in a sweater and under a blanket. It's going to be 96 degrees F here tomorrow. Quote

GA Russell Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 We were at 101 at 5:00 pm today, but it doesn't seem nearly as humid as it did two weeks ago when the temp reached 98, so it was much more comfortable. Quote
