Tom 1960 Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 50 degrees and dreary. At least it's not raining right now. Hoping for sunny skies tomorrow for my bike ride. Quote
sidewinder Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 (edited) Unbelievable clear views this afternoon - some of the best visual conditions I've ever encountered here (from around 1000ft asl). There was actually a glider tug aircraft in the air servicing a load of gliders. Must have got special permission ! Edited April 17, 2010 by sidewinder Quote
brownie Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Still clear and sunny here today. Another perfect April in Paris day! Weather-related news on the music scene: Bobby McFerrin concert scheduled today at the Theatre du Chatelet this afternoon has been cancelled now. (I had no plans to attend!) Whitney Houston had to take a ferry from UK to Ireland to give a series of concerts this weekend. Quote
rostasi Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Clouds of volcanic ash go away!!! Icelandic volcano at it's height of popularity Quote
JohnS Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 A superb spring afternoon, little or no breeze, clear skies and warm sun. A dusting of ash on the car roof. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Yesterday was beautiful; today started well but it's getting increasingly overcast and cooler. Quote
Matthew Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Absolutely gorgeous in SoCal. Here's a crappy picture taken from my backyard. Quote
jostber Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 (edited) A lot of wind and hail here a period today. Nice again now with some clouds and partly sunny before the dusk sets in. Edited April 18, 2010 by jostber Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 It's pissing down in Fort Worth. This is NOT what I expected of Texas. It's more like home. I said that to the waitress in the restaurant last night and she responded, "well, that's good!" MG Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 You doing a De Tocqueville, MG? Quote
Tom 1960 Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Got the bike ride in today, under less than ideal conditions. Barely 50 degrees and pretty much overcast skies. Feels cold after the recent warm spell we had. Quote
kinuta Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Horrible, cold, raining and depressing. Spring has been cancelled this year and,to make it worse, the dreaded rainy season will start in another month. Quote
paul secor Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 A series of 5 straight days with no rain & temps in the low 60s - 70. Quote
Tim McG Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 Unseasonably cool and rainy here. I LOVE it Quote
BillF Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 101 friggin degrees. Wow! Only 48 here at 7:45am. Quote
Van Basten II Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Today isn't so bad , but we had an heatwave the last few days , over 93 degres and about 104 with the humidity factor which is quite high here for this time of the year Quote
paul secor Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 95 and humid yesterday. Cooler & less humidity so far today. Too early for the heat, at least afaic. Quote
Son-of-a-Weizen Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 We have high winds and a Tornado Warning in effect.....but I can hear the aircraft lifting off from Reagan National 2 miles away. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 Overcast but no rain last weekend. Really heavy downpour on Tuesday. Then four days of blissful summer sunshine. Today, heavy rain in the morning, overcast and showers in the afternoon. I like it like this - not too much of any extreme. Quote
paul secor Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 (edited) Short spurts of heavy thunderstorms (hail predicted, but none yet) followed by spurts of sunshine. Seems as if the weather can't make up it's mind. Wish the rain would get rid of the humidity, but that hasn't happened. Edited June 6, 2010 by paul secor Quote
Dave James Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 Portland, Oregon here. The weather? Awful. The worst Spring I can remember. We've had more rain (2.61") in the first six days of June than we normally get in the whole month (1.59"). Quote
papsrus Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Stand over a pot of boiling water. That's what it was like today here. Quote
