Joe G Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Hey Jim (or Use3D) Have you noticed that the times given for any action such as editing a post or logging in are totally wrong? Not a big deal, but what gives? Quote
Joe G Posted March 10, 2003 Author Report Posted March 10, 2003 For instance, the time given for the above post is 3:21pm. My computer said 10:20am Quote
catesta Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 (edited) Joe G, if you are talking about what I think you are talking about. With this software the member has to set the timezone he or she is in, on their profile page. I just figured that out yesterday. Edited March 10, 2003 by catesta Quote
AfricaBrass Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Have you checked the board settings under the "My Controls" for your account? This software allows the user to set their personal time zone, so all the posts will reflect their timezone. I just found this last night. My guess is that the bulletin board is generating the time based upon the server where it is hosted. This would explain why you have a two minute gap, etc., and the reason for the hour difference is that the software probably has you set up for a time zone far away from where you are. It had me in the time zone for Indonesia or some out of the way place. Quote
Joe G Posted March 10, 2003 Author Report Posted March 10, 2003 Ah yes, thanks for the tip. I was set to London time. Quote
