finn mcd Posted Monday at 12:47 PM Report Posted Monday at 12:47 PM Hi all, I recently came across this 1963 Columbia test press of Al Fairweather and Sand Brown's All Stars - The Incredible McJazz. It is a 2x12" single sided release. I have posted on a few other forums and have found out some good information regarding the artists. What I really want to know know is about the test press itself? is it rare, and is there a market for it? I think I would rather get this to someone who cares about the history than myself, who is much more of a casual jazz listener. I've not come across many test presses, and not one this old before If anyone has any questions please fire away! https://www.discogs.com/release/33674931-Al-Fairweather-Sandy-Browns-All-Stars-The-Incredible-McJazz Thanks Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted Monday at 09:54 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:54 PM The regular LP doesn't fetch big bucks, but there is only one in Fair condition available on discogs, so maybe that one isn't the best to judge value? The CD version looks to be a PD release from the Lake Records label, which I've never heard of. The CD has bonus tracks. Quote
