GA Russell Posted Tuesday at 03:27 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:27 AM Amazon has a number of jazz eBooks on sale today. Two that appeal to me are... The Miles Davis Lost Quintet and Other Revolutionary Ensembles - $2.99 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AD6PXL6 and Composing for the Jazz Orchestra by Bill Russo - $3.99 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EZ8OKQW Quote

GA Russell Posted Tuesday at 04:52 AM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 04:52 AM Michael, thanks for pointing out the Bob Porter Soul Jazz book. I've been meaning to pick that one up. Quote
Big Beat Steve Posted Tuesday at 09:06 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 09:06 AM The "Sittin' In" book on Kindle? What a waste of presentation and format ... (regardless of how cheap that ebook version is). I can only imagine this will trigger some into getting the "real thing". Quote

The graphics should look far better there, unless they’ve downgraded the graphics for Kindle use. Quote
Big Beat Steve Posted Tuesday at 02:42 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 02:42 PM (edited) All too involved for a book like this IMO, particularly if you care about the photos for permanent and TANGIBLE reference. Would it be possible to EASILY print out Kindle contents page by page by now? Besides, do you actually OWN a Kindle ebook forever and ever? Too many snags, really ... (Or should I say "Emperor's Clothes"? ) Edited Tuesday at 02:42 PM by Big Beat Steve Quote
mjzee Posted Tuesday at 03:21 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:21 PM I also have the Kindle app on my iMac. I could open the book in it and easily copy and paste contents. It's just an additional way of doing things. I'll also point out that the eBook is $2.99 during this sale, while the hardcover is $26.98. Quote
