Bunky Green RIP

He passed away on March 1st.  I never got to see him live but I liked him playing. RIP.

I used to play "Healing The Pain" quite a bit when I got it. I always hoped to see him play but I don't think he toured by then.

RIP.  His "The Latin-ization of Bunky Green" became kinda cult classic in Japan (or, at least among my buddies).  Music is good, and the jacket is weird and fun.

I particularly appreciate how he remained curious and agile enough to evolve. Being able to meaningfully engage Steve Coleman on his own terms is no small feat. The other way around is to be expected, but the older evolving that much forward, not so much. 

Much appreciated, the master engaging the pupil on both turfs.
