clifford_thornton Posted Monday at 04:23 AM Author Report Posted Monday at 04:23 AM Yeah, Booker T. on Silkheart. He only has one album as a leader for the label. Thom ID’ed the artist & track/disc correctly so only 12 more remain! Quote

But that should be a last resort. Update: I have a new presenter, but we're working on getting his account activated. Quote

colinmce Posted Monday at 06:13 PM Report Posted Monday at 06:13 PM Booker T. actually has a new recording out. I've given it a couple listens and enjoy it. https://mahakalamusic.bandcamp.com/album/ode-to-bc-ly-and-eye-know-bo-da-prez Likewise, I've been listening to this BFT on & off all month and really enjoying it, and should really try to work up some ramblings for the thread before it's too late. clifford_thornton Posted Monday at 08:32 PM Author Report Posted Monday at 08:32 PM Yeah, the new one is nice indeed. He's from Seattle and relocated to NYC in 1974, seems like he was an East Coast working player until around 25 years ago (maybe less), when he returned to the Seattle area. Not a lot of sessions, but he's strong on everything I've heard. Quote
tkeith Posted Monday at 08:50 PM Report Posted Monday at 08:50 PM If you can snag the video of Henry Threadgill's Society Situation Dance band, he's on that (along with John Stubblefield). Quote
