ListeningToPrestige Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 (edited) Why are the 1945 Earl Swope - Lennie Tristano recordings called "the lost sessions"? How did they get lost, and how did they get found? And what about the Emmett Carls lost sessions? Edited January 27 by ListeningToPrestige needed to add something. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 The information on the Jazz Guild issue is insufficient? Quote

BTW, at a clearout sale at a local record store last fall a copy of BOTH releases (Jazz Guild and Nostalgia) were in the bins at 1 EUR each. I did not pick them up (already have the Jazz Guild LP, though paid much more at the time) as I figured (probably rightly, sorry to say) that demand would be so slim that there would not have been much sense adding them to my fleamarket jazz vinyl crate. IIRC I compared the liner notes and they were the same on both. Edited January 27 by Big Beat Steve Quote
clifford_thornton Posted February 3 Report Posted February 3 Neat music that I'm glad to have. Not something I put on deck often, but glad it's available to hear. Quote
