I have a pretty good size Sun Ra collection (both vinyl and CD) but $100 per record is too pricey even for me, especially as I already have the music in different formats.

This is definitely for the collector's market, given the small limitation (300 copies) and price. That is too bad.

It looks like the Sam Records website has crashed. I can't access it. Anyone else have this issue?

Edit: I got one page to work eventually, but it still has issues.

There's 420 copies of Vol 1 in stock right now. 110 € each.

Neat looking and probably excellent sound, but the Delmarks will set you back far less for both than for one volume of the Sam version.

I had some very good news this week so treated myself to the Sam reissues. The Delmarks in my discogs cart would've cost the same as one Sam so it's wilful extravagance and I don't care a jot!

I just checked the Sam Records website.

Volume 1 is already sold out and there are only 48 copies of Volume 2 still available.

These would have been nice to have for my Sun Ra collection, but I just cannot justify paying that much money (110 euros per lp !!) for music I already have in other formats.
