Teasing the Korean Posted January 8 Report Posted January 8 (edited) https://buysoundtrax.myshopify.com/collections/dragons-domain-records-1/products/gold-of-the-amazon-women-original-soundtrack-by-gil-melle Just listened to the audio samples. This is right up my alley. Edited January 8 by Teasing the Korean Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted January 9 Author Report Posted January 9 This morning, I bought this and received the download link via e-mail instantly. Based on what I'm hearing thus far, I would describe this as a combination lush orchestral exotica with TV cop show funk beds, seasoned with synths, electric piano, and Latin percussion. Lots of moody dramatic passages along the way. It is stereo, but there is distortion on some tracks. It may have been mastered from Gil's personal copy. A few tracks with that dated, high-pitched synth "ping" sound that was in vogue on funk records circa 1980. Quote

T.D. Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 (edited) OMG, I clicked on the link and the graphics are something else! There's a (semi-)local cinema which loves to screen this kind of thing. Wonder if the film is available. There's a 13-minute sound sample on youtube: There's something slightly odd about the archer(ess?) in the foreground...🤣 Edited January 9 by T.D. Quote
jazzbo Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 (edited) You can purchase a DVD copy on amazon. That's a brave archeress putting up with a cobra coiled around her leg! Edited January 9 by jazzbo Quote
T.D. Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 Thanks, but I can watch a dubbed (into Tamil 😁) version, albeit with weird aspect ratio, for free on youtube. Quote
T.D. Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 Hey, it's mostly for the soundtrack. I can't imagine the English dialogue would be too scintillating. Quote
