Good news; the SAJs are swell. Also, non-needledrop reissues of Black Ark & Live at the Village Vanguard would be really nice to see (of course, likely on a different imprint). Classic sessions that should never be OOP for long in my opinion.

yeah, not likely to happen. The Destination:Out Bandcamp does provide digital files of FMP releases to some degree, and that may be as close as we'll get to seeing some of these FMPs in a non-vinyl format.

I'm buying more digital these days because we're less likely to ever get CD's, but am much more selective and do have price limits on those.  Do you happen to have a link to those?  Not seeing on Bandcamp.

Damn I feel like such a fool again. I've got some items in my wantlist that are pricey for they are rare and issued only once or twice. I'll keep them in that wantlist for years hoping for a reissue. Then after a long time, when I see a reasonable but still pricey offer I decide to jump on an original. Live in Berlin was one of them and I bought it only a month ago.... I should have been more patient. I've had the same thing with Curtis Amy's Groovin' Blue where Blue Note announcent it was goint to be a Tone Poet only 2 months after I ordered an original pressing.....

But still good news of course, especially for those who don't have the music. This was a particularly strong period for Noah Howard and I really enjoy that record. Also an opportunity to buy Schizphrenic Blues. Anyone who knows this label? Is it legit and to they work with tapes or digital files?

I bet what you're describing has happened to most of the people on this board who are building physical collections.  I know it has happened to me.

It one of the "hazards" of our hobby!  ;)

Very legit label. They've done a number of FMP vinyl reissues to date and many original releases. Though it's not clear, my presumption is that they're working from the tapes, and the great musician & engineer Martin Siewert does the mastering. Their packaging for both CD and LP is top notch.

Yes no worries about Trost. They've done a great job on Brötzmann's catalogue amongst others. They often had a stall at Oto for PB's gigs

They're also not afraid to reissue less obvious artists/titles, for instance Kowald. Top quality

One can never assume something will be reissued (or reissued "well"), so carpe diem.

True That!

Not FMP and not one I know but tangentially relevant, Aguirre are reissuing 'Patterns'.

neat record. It would be cool if the additional track (different, similarly weird band) from the Eremite CD made it onto a vinyl edition at some point down the road.

Yep and yep. Put aside CD's for a moment, and allow me to vent about the Tone Poets. For decades, all I wanted was properly treated CD reissues, and the RVG's kinda did it for me, until that stopped (connoisseurs were gone by then) and if you don't have a turntable, you're screwed. I hate seeing all the properly done LP's that I drooled over, now not being reissued on CD. BS!!! Not fair!!!

A number are being reissued on UHQCD in Japan.

Sweet to hear, and I have been lucky enough to pick up a few of those Japanese reissues (those late 60's, practically impossible BN BJP's are gems!) and some are at budget prices, but they seem to be in print only for a matter of minutes!

Well, they started an 85th Anniversary UHQCD series this year and so far I believe all are still in print, with the final batch of the year released this week.
