Forum Stopped Marking Threads Where I Posted with a Star

Recommended Posts

I often go into subforums and check to see if any of the threads with new comments are ones that I comment in myself. They have always been easily identified by a small star to the left of the thread name (as opposed to a dot for a thread where I didn't post). Slowly over the past few weeks, all of the stars are disappearing. They reappear if I post in the thread again but a short time later, it switches back to a dot.

Is there some setting that was accidentally changed? Can it be changed back?

Not sure what may have changed on your side, but I still have stars listed even for things that I've not responded to in a very long time.
Now, I do have stars that are not bold on topics that I've responded to, but nobody else has followed up on, so there's that, but otherwise,
I'm stumped by what you're seeing. Of course, the dots are in areas where I don't respond and they fluctuate as to whether I've read them.
Crazy system that has some kind of purpose tho.

This question was posted last week (or earlier?) in a thread that got no responses (probably because nobody had/has an answer...). So rather than just up that thread, the OP deleted it and started this new one.

Seems like one of the more esoteric of First World Problems, but hey. Some people like that type of thing, I guess.

When it comes to software setting for this board, contact Jim Alfredson. He's the only one here who can do anything with those.

And don't forget to tell him again what a poor moderator I am.
