The two tracks from this session had only been previously released on 7" singles AFAIK (Impulse in US & Stateside/Pathe in France with picture sleeve) up until recently with the release of the Hat Hut ezz-thetics CD "Ornette At 12, Crisis To Man On The Moon Revisited"

There is debate as to whether Don Cherry was present at this session with Ornette overdubbing the trumpet parts (Lord Discography below opts for the latter). See the link below to Valerie Ghent's (Emmanuel's daughter) blog & reminiscences plus comments on her father's unreleased tapes/recordings with Ornette.

This appears to be a standalone session (for the 7") with Ed Blackwell back on drums, replacing Denardo.
