GA Russell Posted October 30 Report Posted October 30 RIP Teri Garr! Does anyone else remember the time she took a shower on the Letterman show? Quote
mjzee Posted October 30 Report Posted October 30 I remember her small role in Dumb & Dumber. She was a great part of the fun. Quote
mjazzg Posted October 30 Report Posted October 30 She starred in one of my favourite films 'One From The Heart' so she will always be remembered here. Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted October 30 Report Posted October 30 Garr was in several movies that I've really enjoyed, even if she only had a bit role, like 1989's "Let It Ride". That movie is a classic. I just love it. The characters are all so real. "Mr. Mom" was another I enjoyed a lot. Obviously, "Young Frankenstein" is up there too. For a while, her presence on the bill almost guaranteed a good time in the theater. Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted October 30 Author Report Posted October 30 I love Teri as the hash-slinging waitress in this early SNL short, a spoof of paranoid 1950s addiction films. Music from The Man with the Golden Arm. https://www.facebook.com/marshadtechnology/videos/java-junkie/1008035736361246/ Quote

The music was the highlight and it took three minutes out of a 3:42 short to get to the one punch line that the rehab facility is Maxwell House. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted October 30 Report Posted October 30 RIP, too bad. Just watched her in After Hours not too long ago. Quote

T.D. Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 (edited) RIP. No self-respecting (or self-deprecating 😁) geek could fail to recall Teri Garr on the original Star Trek (1968) Edited October 31 by T.D. Quote

TTK, thank you for using the word "ensure." In my neighborhood, everyone but me says "insure." Quote
JSngry Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 But TTK collects monthly premiums! That's why I gave him my CC#. Quote

I had to change to barter. He's got my wife, four of my ex-wives, nine of my children, and my car. He only has 47% of my dog, but he'll be shipped down there at the end of the month. Too bad, he's the only one I'd miss. Quote
