My dad played "East to Wes" a lot in our house when I was young. I sent him the link and he told me he saw her perform in Topeka.

Maybe I am venturing into the wrong area here but I am assuming she could score in Topeka especially if it was a long engagement.

East to Wes was my introduction to Emily Remler and I was greatly impressed with it when it was released.

I've had copies of some of the Four Queens tracks, plus another set she did with Larry Coryell there, which hasn't been issued.

Heroin took her far too young at 31.

Hard to believe this music is 40 years old.  My first exposure was Transitions, on Concord, also from 1984.  Always dug the album jacket.  The guitar/trumpet quartet!

This is a very good album indeed and the medley So What/Impressions is masterly. She was an amazing guitarist and criminally underrated.

Arguably everything from that era is underrated. It is time that jazz from the 1980s got rediscovered.

The Four Queens Jazz Night From Las Vegas collection at UNLV should also include a broadcast that she did with Larry Coryell.

There is also a Jazz at the Manchester Craftsmen's Guild broadcast by Emily Remler, where she plays solo, with a trio and in a duo.

I have both of these shows and I imagine that additional material was recorded that was not aired in both instances.
