Going to pause when it’s over for a blue Lou Donaldson interlude, but Ben Webster, Marjorie Hyams and Bill Harris all making the date a blast for me. You have to jump from the center of pg 19 (where the previous Eldridge session notes are supposed to end) to where the Norvo notes begin on pg 20, then double back to continue. A hopscotch perversion of the linear narrative! That aside, gawd is there a lot of fine music on this set. I’m enjoying it even more as I progress through the later discs.
