I used to have the first CBCJQ Columbia LP and don't remember it being much more than a pleasant listen but this is encouraging me to revisit his body of work. Highly informational piece if nothing else.

I did not know of this article (thanks!), but I just listened to this one yesterday and was surprised by how much it reminded me of Don Friedman's roughly contemporaneous quartet featuring Attila Zoller.
