Damn! I’m trying to remember ever seeing any(?) other Ornette footage that’s even half that compelling — in terms of line-up, footage and sound quality, compelling era, etc.

Or what am I forgetting?

Is there any footage of Ornette and Don Cherry for instance? (I’m not recalling.  )

This is the kind of thing I would have bought on DVD in a nanosecond but those days are over.

That's the exact same thing I was thinking once I found this & watched.

The up close shots ie Haden's bass playing, are just wonderful.

Thanks to William M, another Australian board frequenter for hipping me to this footage
