Yes, I think at this point this is simply the price you pay to have a CD edition at all.

Funny Funky Rib Crib has had previous CD reissues.  Wonder if any of them are better?

That's a real shame as their cd packaging has been very well done up until now.

Similarly the latest Corbett vs. Dempsey cds have much "cheaper" sleeves now compared to their excellent mini lp cover style they have been using.

ah, that's too bad -- I've been meaning to catch up on CvsD CDs, as some of the recent ones I haven't bought yet.

Think the only Soufflé CD I have is the Perception -- nice session, gatefold digipak looks good. All three proper Perception LPs are really excellent as well.

My copy arrived the other day. I'd agree fully. I'm impressed so far with the 3 LPs I've listened to. Music excellent as is pressing quality - very quiet.

I won't complain about the CDs (got three, skipped Funny Funky), at the price (12-13€, a bit more for the double) I expected them to look like other recent Souffle Continu reissues – which they do. It was quite clear that to get a lavish package, going vinyl was the option. I'd have been happy about a nice boxed set with booklet and all, too, but it was clear this wouldn't be it, so I don't quite understand the complaints here, I'm afraid.

Haven't explored all the others yet, fur "Funny Funky Rib Crib" was an instant love affair for me! (As was the Hal Singer/Jef Gilson, also on Kindred Spirits.)
