sgcim Posted June 20, 2024 Report Posted June 20, 2024 RIP to one of the greats. I followed his career from his first roles in Roger Corman movies. My fave role was the crazy priest in "Little Murders". "It's alright! Everything is alright!" Quote
JSngry Posted June 20, 2024 Report Posted June 20, 2024 Illustrious voiceover career also. Many commercials! Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted June 20, 2024 Report Posted June 20, 2024 He was a great actor, even if he only had a bit part. He really brought President Snow to life in those "Hunger Games" movies. Whenever I see "Animal House", I feel a bit bummed out when his scenes are on. I hope he fired the agent that told him to take the cash up front instead of a piece of the pie that he was originally offered. He lost out on millions & millions of dollars because of that agent. Mark13 Posted June 21, 2024 Report Posted June 21, 2024 (edited) I saw 'Don't Look Now' when I was too young. Maybe 10 or so. It scared me sh*tless. The DVD has been in my collection for well over a decade, but whenever I seek out a film to watch, I skip it. Go figure. I have enjoyed other Sutherland-pictures though - 'Klute' by Alan Pakula especially is a favourite that I go back to. He was a fantastic actor. RIP Edited June 21, 2024 by Mark13 Quote

soulpope Posted June 21, 2024 Report Posted June 21, 2024 Not to forget "Fellini's Casanova" from 1976 .... Quote

gmonahan Posted June 26, 2024 Report Posted June 26, 2024 Loved him in so many movies, but for me, it's Oddball in Kelly's Heroes. He is such great fun in that! Quote
cliffpeterson Posted June 27, 2024 Report Posted June 27, 2024 Recently watched "Remembering Gene Wilder" and it included a still from "Start the Revolution without Me" in which Gene starred with Donald Sutherland. Saw that film as a double header with "Monty Python's Flying Circus" knowing nothing about either film. Hilarious evening. Sutherland was great. Quote
