Here's the site of the label:

And here's the link to the Allegro Music sale:

And here's the link to TCB's Swiss Radio Days series on Allegro:

I only have a few releases outside the radio days series (Louis Hayes, Pago Libre come to mind). I highly recommend the whole radio day series, though!

The Shaw/Hayes, Jones/Lewis, Don Redman are highly recommended, as is the Mulligan CJB. I don't have the whole series so far, but someday I will...

Have not heard the Hawkins, but I heard it was a good one.

I'm a fan of the Swiss Radio series as well. This sale is very good because both the price is good and the cds are available. I had trouble finding the Terry and Webster cds, but Allegro has them. Also ordered the BG Worldwide. Ubu, I think the Hawkins is the best of the 8 I have while the Redman is probably at the bottom-poor sound and so-so performances.

Clandy, I do have the Webster (though when I got it I was a bit deceived to see that Webster and Gordon are only performing two numbers together).

I like the Redman - I don't know if there are many discs available of him playing his own music. However, I'm pretty new to pre-bop music, so...

I will pick up the Hawkins, and the Cannonball, and probably the Blakeys and the Quincy Jones, too. The Terry is on my list also. Thanks!

I skipped the Blakeys since I have enough of that group in the Mosaic set. The Quincy is superb and is in fact the the only Quincy I have. Don't miss the Mulligans-even tho I have the Mosaic, I can never get enough of him or the CJB. Agree that the Adderley is excellent too. Also, get the Jones-Lewis cd if you like big band.

The Jones/Lewis is awesome, in my opinion! Also it features Joe Henderson playing some real hot stuff!

Not that much a "sale", rather just a way to get some of these discs at sane prizes.

Though for yurpeens, various Amazon marketplace offers might turn out cheaper, all things considered.

There are plenty of great releases in the TCB "Swiss Radio Days" series, including a terrific one by the Jones-Lewis band, a great Mulligan Concert Jazz Band release, some Blakey, Cannonball, etc.

Also, the 90s album of Jerome Richardson's is part of the offer...

I was disappointed in the Steve Nelson, personally. Very mellow, not much happening, despite multiple listens it never grabbed me. YMMV but its one I sold pretty quick.

Both Bubba Brooks discs are very fine, Dr. Lonnie Smith plays on one and Kenny Drew Jr on the other, if that makes a difference.

Iirc, the Buster Williams has Mulgrew Miller, and I remember enjoying it quite a bit more than the Steve Nelson, which I think had 'Grew on it, too.

For Hayes, Quintessential Lou and the Cannonball Legacy CDs are the ones I have and enjoy.
