If you like Eastern Rebellion, and particularly with George Coleman, #5 was issued on June 23, 2021 (CD Japan did not list it as #5 but the cover clearly indicates it as such, also can be found on discos) and #6 will be issued on June 19th.  #5 is a live recording at the Jazz Club October, July 26, 1976 and is on YT.  #6 is allegedly from the 1976 Umbria Jazz Festival-CD Japan does not provide a date.  Both supposedly never issued on cd before.  A recording from the July 20, 1976 Umbria Jazz Festival is loaded on YT but no indication as to whether this is the basis for the cd release.

When I saw Eastern Rebellion, Sam Jones had very sadly recently passed. David Williams had recently joined on bass.

Never heard Vols 5 and 6 so will look at checking them out. That Ultra-Vybe CD set looks nice.

So, interesting note on this Eastern Rebellion box set; the Part 2 CD tacks on Clockwise and Firm Roots that are ALSO included on Part 3. They're the same versions. Not sure why they repeated these tracks.

Also of note are that the track times on these discs for Clockwise are 5:00 while discogs has Part 3's version at 5:56 across all the versions I've seen. Discogs isn't always correct so it could be just an error, but interesting nonetheless.

Is there some live recordings of Eastern Rebellion AFTER the 3 that was with Cliff Jordan, I mean with the saxophonists that played later ? Because it might not be bad to hear one time the stuff with George Coleman and with Bob Berg (I doubt I saw him live with the exception of his stint with Miles). But I mostly need live performances to enjoy music (on live recordings usually you hear the drums better and you must hear everything Billy Higgin´s is doing). Anyway I think the one I have at home with Cliff Jordan was back than when I was browsing thru some LPs and found that one and bought it, because I had known Cliff from "my" Mingus Album, and Higgins from my Ornette Coleman album as well as from my Sonny Rollins album. He was my favourite drummer then !!!!! (I went to see George Coleman Quartet because of Billy Higgins !!!!!)

Regrettably the Eastern Rebellion discography on jazzdiscography.com is not up to date, and Tom Lord does not list them as a group entry, e.g. the Vol. 5 is listed with Coleman as the leader. One would have to browse through all of Cedar Walton's dates to find them all. Lord lists only a very small number of sessions besides the later releases on MusicMasters.

That said, I saw them perform with Bob Berg and later Ralph Moore, and it was always superb.
