Bluegrass, Newgrass, or Dawg music covers of jazz tunes

Thinking of things such as Tony Rice covering 4 on 6, The Waybacks covering Scrapple From the Apple, or David Grismsn playing Naima. Can you suggest other examples I’m not familiar with? Thanks.

Tray Wellington's Black Banjo includes versions of Naima and Roy Hargrove's Strasbourg/St. Denis.

The Bad Livers (with Danny Barnes) did a cover of Sun Ra's "Interplanetary Music."

Bill Monroe's "Heavy Traffic Ahead" has always sounded to me like a bluegrass cover of a jazz tune -- even though it's a Monroe original. ... Not exactly what you were asking for, but it's sorta in the same neighborhood.

Tony Rice on Backwaters did On Green Dolphin Street and also My Favourite Things.

I'm sure there is tons of Bela Fleck stuff.

Thanks Lon, I’ve had Hillbilly Jazz since it was cutout in the late 1970’s. Good stuff.

That's the one that came to my mind first when I saw the title of this thread. Classic stuff.

A friend had it in our high schol days in the latter 70s, and a couple of years later I got my own copy of it.
