In a thread I started years ago called something like "Jazz" albums by "pop" singers, I mentioned the Patti Page/Pete Rugolo Mercury albums, of which there are at least three.

No idea about the soloists.

The rest of the record's not like that, Good tunes, and she sings well. But nothing like this.

Pretty sure Mich Miller's involved though, this almost sounds like a rejected chart for a Bird with Strings date, imo.

Just was listening to Patti Paige In The Land of hi fi -  with the Pete Rugolo Orchestra 

Was surprised to find that one track  had Patti Paige singing with Duke Ellington, and that was (for me) my favorite track.
