My question is - do these records use the actual TV-recording audio tracks, or are they dubs from a broadcast? The question goes to the meaning of "remastered". What did they remaster?

Well, these is a part of the Japanese Greatest Jazz of All Time series (oh those strikingly original Japanese series titles), which was inaugurated by the first-ever release of Sanders / Hicks Frankfurt concert . It was licensed through Timeless Records (a legit Dutch outfit) and sounded excellent. I am pretty sure the recordings were legally licensed directly from the broadcasters. 

Sanders / Hicks duo Vol. 2 is coming out this month too, btw.

Yes, the CDJapan machine translations are sometimes quite humorous!  Here's another gem from the Shaw post:

They're just confused and/ or losing it in translation.

This upcoming Shaw record is from a TV show. And they play the Joe Farrell tune. But otherwise, this "lost cover" business...yeah.

I've always found that Farrell album cover to be exploitative/creepy.  But good enough album.  As far as the two live sets, count me in for the CD's.

Looks like the same photo as his album on Timeless with the Tone Jansa Quartet.  Maybe makes sense given the Timeless connection discussed above.  I also like the looks of it, like the bluish tint.

Looks more like a bodybuilder/weightlifter than a beauty queen, which ups the weirdness/disturbing ante. 🤔

Agreed. Wasn't that Pullen/Adams 'Don't Lose Control' also one of their artistic masterpieces?  At least with Cedar's 'Eastern Rebellion' LPs they kept it simple and got it right.

No, that one was on Soul Note. That cover, though puzzling, has always made me laugh because the woman pictured surely looks like a streetwalker.
